What is eCash?
eCash is a rebranding cryptocurrency of Bitcoin ABC from its coin split. eCash is the world’s first cryptocurrency. David Chaum, who first introduced the concept of electronic money, created it in 1989. Although the Internet market has developed more actively than in the past, people familiar with credit cards and cash payments have shunned the coin. Subsequently, in November 2020, Bitcoin ABC was in the spotlight as denominated at a 1:1,000,000 ratio.
Re-examining history, Bitcoin Cash split into Bitcoin SV and Bitcoin ABC, with both coins going their separate ways. Afterward, it seemed that ABC could not escape the shadow as Bitcoin’s grandson, the third-generation coin, and the market value seemed to be falling. However, the rebranding under the new name of eCash resulted in another face value split and successfully recruited new investors.
Who Invented eCash?
JiHan Wu, the CEO of the global cryptocurrency mining company, Bitmain, created eCash. He’s also the founder of Bitcoin Cash, which is hard-forked to Bitcoin. JiHan Wu, also known as China’s mining king, hosted a new hard fork of Bitcoin Cash with Roger Ver. This new fork was ultimately the confrontation with the Bitcoin SV camp due to the compatibility issue of the existing Bitcoin Cash.
In response, CEO JiHan Wu eventually conducted a hard fork of Bitcoin ABC with eCash , stating that developing a new protocol can solve the compatibility problem between blockchains.
